breaks within breaks

While these past few days haven't exactly been filled with things to do, I'm really happy with the free time I'm getting from our month-long sembreak.

Yesterday, for lack of anything better to do, I decided to go to my lolo's house to kill time at the piano. It felt so good feeling the keys under my fingers again after a long time of not being able to play. So what if I stumbled stupidly through all the pieces and chords and made all the happy songs sound like funeral marches? I was able to feel how it is to play again, and it was all that mattered.

When my younger cousins arrived later in the afternoon, we eventually found ourselves trying to relive our summer days at the subdivision's clubhouse. For about an hour we made use of a small partially-deflated basketball and a single hoop in carrying out a makeshift basketball game consisting of two preteens, a six-year-old, and an inexperienced 17-year-old. But I had so much fun anyway. We bet on cloud nines for the winners but everyone settled for a few pieces of candy in the end.

Ngayon, I went to school again after a long time (teka 1 week pa lang... haha) to meet up with the people going to Gateway for our first freshman CBA. Stayed with Porqui and Dice for a while before taking an MRT with Jubs and Marcyee to the mall, where we had lunch and a movie (Zorro!) before ending the day with ice cream and fries. It was a little disappointing that everyone went home a little too early though.

And then I watched Shutter the second time around... this time with my cousins. More ice cream and chips! This is the life... :) or at least the kind I'd like to experience in contrast to the one that's been bludgeoning me with sleepless nights since the schoolyear began.

Ahaay I LOVE having such a long sembreak. I can just rant and ramble and eat and go out and stay at home and be happy and sleep. :)

At sa PESTENG trabaho.... THIS TOO SHALL PASS.
