Koine had its last studio showing of SUBTEXT yesterday, and I was finally able to catch it with the M&M'S (buhay pa! haha) and my younger cousins. I was glad to see that watching it for the second time around in my case didn't erase much of the play's funni-ness and charm, even with the fact that they had a generally different batch of actors to perform for their last show. And for the first time, I won one of Direq Niel's CDs during their after-play raffle! Haha, thanks Direq :)
I was really touched too when the Koine team approached Steph and I with their usual warmth and invited us to become members. It was the kind of warmth that made you feel like you've been friends for years even if you only met most of them weeks ago, with them including the kids, who like to go up to you in a way that would make you feel important as a big sister or something. Basta, sarap ng feeling especially when you've technically been a younger sister all your life. Koine's the best.
By the way, I watched Ella Enchanted and 13 Going on 30 last Friday and they were both great! Hehe, both leads acted out their roles well. The former gave me the undying lesson on looking inside of you to seek greater things, while the latter presented a lot about learning how to appreciate where you are, because where you are may already be a lot better than what you're looking for. Except when you're looking for a MATTY. Hehehe. =)
But really, I wish I had a Matty. Someone give me a Matty!! :)
Anyway, there've been so many birthdays this weekend... belated happy birthdays to Tita Lu and Mrs. Abenes (9/10) and to Sir Dennis Castro, Jermaine, and Kuya Mark (9/11). May those involved in the 9/11 tragedy rest in peace as well.
Aagh! The ACET is just a week away by the way!!! Shoot, I've been trying to review for the Math part but the questions on the MSA reviewer thing aren't very reader-friendly (??). You can understand how the problems are solved after reading the solutions manual but the thing is, you'll find yourself wondering how on earth you'll be able to think of those solutions when you're placed on the spot already.
I really have to pass the ACET. I wasted my chance on the UPCAT, and I'm not relying only on prayers this time. MUST ACT. At oo nga pala, tell me if you're in the same room and time as I am: Sept 18, 2004 - 1:30-6:00pm - Ateneo HS Room 23. Good luck sa ating lahat!
