Last night, Ate Girlie accompanied me to watch the play SUBTEXT in Koine's Studio 2... and it was as great as I had expected it to be! Masarap panoorin ng paulit-ulit!

The main theme revolved around the misunderstandings that ensue in LOVE and commitment, and the best thing about it is that the play will have you relating to it regardless of whether you've been (or ARE in) in a relationship or not. And a good part of it involves the perks of text messaging and the role it plays in our relationships with people.

SULIT ang SUBTEXT... cross my scars and hope to die and stick a poodle in my eye and all that. SO WATCH IT! CALL 4104485 (The KOINE Foundation) for more information. The play is going to be held every Friday and Saturday of August, at 7:30-9:00p.m., at the 2nd flr of the Forab Bldg. in Kamuning, Q.C. It's as brief as it is beautiful (and funny), and I promise you'll like it regardless of what age you are.

And the play has been running for 2 years already, from when scriptwriter and play director Nathaniel de Mesa first held it in February of 2002. The actors may not be reknowned, but they're brilliant. As Niel De Mesa said, Koine showcases TALENT, and not merely stars. Palanca Award-winner din ito, and that alone can serve as proof that this play IS worth watching. So please watch it while the month of August is here! Tell me if you're interested, and I can reserve tickets for you. =)

Watching the play will also entitle you to a free sample of DireQ Niel de Mesa's songwriting skills and great singing voice... along with a chance to contribute to the betterment of the poor (Koine's funds are dedicated to improving the lives of the less fortunate kids who are talented in the performing arts). :-)
